Thanks a lot, I have got the package today :)

Thank you for your patience on replying me the e-mail. Actually I am an Erhu performer (Chinese violin). I just try the golden rosin on my Erhu and it product bright and powerful sound. Also the rosin remover is better than the product I have used before. I think I will keep ordering from your shop and recommended for other players.

Also thank for for the chocolates :)
I will give the E strings to my friend who plays violin.

Ryan, Best rosin for violin strings! (Thursday, 22 June 2017 20:18)

Few months ago, my professor used his favorite rosin: Laubach gold in front of us and offered every student to try it out. Even though every student has each own individual bow with its own style (French, German etc), it worked wonders on every ones bows. I have a flawless, German bow and in my opionion this is the best rosin I have ever tried and I totally agree with my professors choice.
For my colleagues and me, it is the best rosin by today's standards.

I am simply in love with this rosin! First, you really need very little. Second, it gives you a feeling of immense control over the way you play and bow control. Third, it doesn't cake on the string (even though you need to be careful on the A). I have loaned this to many pupils and members of my section and they all love it. You simply get what you pay for, insane performance and quality. Highly recommended!!!

I was going to leave it awhile to post about the new rosin and see a bit longer term. But as is the case with most things, when it's right, YOU KNOW. Period.

Well, it's right. I have finally completed my instrument's sound and sound production. It's that simple. This rosin choice completed it. The Laubach Violins gold rosin is a 100% perfect violin rosin. It gets a crystal clear sound with zero background noise, it's totally reliable where the sound doesn't morph and deteriorate after extended playing, it gets a full color and depth to partner with the clarity and ring, and it doesn't leave the sound at all lacking in power. All-in-all, I couldn't ask for anything else.

By itself, I find violin rosin, even the Laubach gold, incapable of getting the solidity, core, focus, and power I require out of a G string and even a D string. Per advice I found on YouTube, I am now coating my G string with a modest bit of Kolstein Ultra All-Weather bass rosin and do the same with the D string but to a slightly lesser degree. To fuse the two extremes, I give about one good swipe of it to my bow. Mind you, you have to be careful. Use too much, and it gives a plastic and tight quality to the sound. Bass rosin is not appropriate, obviously, as a violin bow's primary rosin. But a conservative amount to go with a usual amount of violin rosin, particularly applied directly to G and D, I find gets me a perfect power and focus on the low end of the instrument to match the ring of the upper end without sacrificing the sound and color achieved with the violin rosin. And used sparingly like this, it doesn't at all sacrifice or compromise the violin rosin's otherwise effect on the A and E strings!

I think I can finally put an end to my searching. It is abundantly clear I have finally found my rosin solution. Laubach's gold violin rosin is even mixed with authentic, pure gold, and the result is flawless. Try it. Please! It could change your playing forever!

Great gold rosin that doesn't slide, very powerful and smooth. Great solid, sturdy rosin. Excellent in all weather and very little dust. Just Great rosin!

It takes a while to gather accurate and consistent information about the best strings, rosins, not to mention instruments themselves. Eventually some names show up more than others, as was the case for Laubach Rosins. I've tried at least a half-dozen other brands before taking the plunge for something so much more expensive than the other. It seems to react different and appropriately to each bowing style. Some rosins end up all over the top of my instrument and require re-application often. After an hour practice session my bow is still pulling just right with just a slight dusting above the bridge. Nice stuff and well worth the expense, I think.

Laubach Gold is one of the most expensive violin rosins but is considered the best.
Dark rosin generally has more grab on the strings than light, but most violins are fine with light rosin. I believe dark is for violas or cello.
Pirastro Gold is also a good rosin and is cheaper.

I have used Gustav Bernadel (light) for years, but recently switched to Laubach gold rosin. It performs really well for me. The gold rosin blends well with the coarsness of the hair, giving me a response, and a clarity of sound which is absolutely essential for the kind of music I play (Celtic).

    Walt Schumann (Monday, 22 March 2021 17:31)

This is one of the best rosin I’ve ever had in store. I was using different kind of rosin and it was always something that I wasn’t that much satisfied with that sound projection. After I was introduced to Laubach by the young violinist Esther Abraamii, things got radically changed in my sound. I tried this product on a very cheap string set and then I tried on Peter Infeld Platinum and you would not believe what an impact this Rosin had on even the very cheap string set and the way it sounded. I have recommend Laubach products to all of my friends and colleagues who plays in orchestra or solo players and all of them have said the difference in quality of sound has greatly improved.
    Thank you Laubach !
    Cordially,
    Walt Schumann
