Evah Pirazzi Gold for violin by Pirastro are possibly the best modern synthetic multifilament fibre quality strings on the market. Evah Pirazzi Gold violin strings characteristic features provide the warmth of gut along with great sound projection and stability. They are available in 4/4 size. Introduced in April 2012, Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold violin strings are full size synthetic core violin strings with excellent projection and a full-bodied sound. The E string has either a ball end or loop end; the A, D and G string have a ball end. The G string is available with either silver or gold winding.

I have to say how much I love these Evah Pirazzis gold strings, they have changed my instruments tones, the y are very responsive to the slightest bow intonation change. I have also found them to be very forgiving of some bad bow angle, unlike most other strings which seem to exaggerate a slight mistake of angle.
They have only been om my vin for a week, so I cannot say anything about the life of the string, but being modern synthetic core and other high load uses, I suspect they will have a very good life.

I have been professionally playing violin for 18 years and am very impressed with these Evah Pirazzi gold violin strings. I researched everywhere about which strings I should buy and finally decided on these. I originally thought the price was a little bit on the expensive side, but I decided to go ahead with them. I have been using them very much for 6 weeks now and they are truly brilliant and gentle. They feel much more flexible than any other good strings pirastro I have ever had. The G – gold and D- silver sound very timbre and deep rich on my violin, the A is all-right (nothing special / nothing bad), and the E string is very Brilliant. All the strings have a very loud, but rich tones that bring a sounding confidence to my playing. They all respond well, but you do need to apply more pirastro rosin than it would take for all other violin strings. I have never written a review, but I always base what I buy off of the reviews and I am glad to say that I recommend these very much.

Pure gold violin string!!!
Describing these strings in one word; "wow!" Never have I played a string with such beautiful tone, quick response and generally easy play-ability. Easily mistaken for Larsen strings, due to their tailpiece winding only differing from a subtle dark navy blue trail to a black one. They blend well into a set of other synthetic core strings and overall play in rather quickly (a week if constantly played). I cant think of using any other violin strings, secretly waiting for the others on my violin to snap

Being a classical violinist, I have always used synthetic strings on my italian violin. Unfortunately, I never seemed to get the sound I was after. The opportunity to use these strings occured at a fiddle competition. I needed a replacement set before going on stage (my Pirazzi A string snapped and so did my G). A friend recommended this Evah Pirazzi GOLD. Immediately, my violin sang more beautifully than I have ever heard before. It stayed in tune while I was on stage and after only being on my instrument for ten minutes! The sound is dark, rich, luscious, clear, and very impressive. I will never use another string! These strings - Evah Pirazzi GOLD surpass all other. I have used them and I won't use anything else. I love them!

There are over two dozen brands of violin strings you can buy. Each violin is different and you will need to decide which brand is right for your violin. Every brand sounds different on each individual instrument. The same goes for the bow. Every violin bow sounds differently with every violin. It will take some time to choose the right bow for your instrument. Back to strings; I found that with all the violins I have owned in my musical career, the brand "Evah Pirazzi" has been the best. They are built with a composite core that enhances its sound. It produces a very rich, deep, beautiful tone that in my opinion, no other brand can match. I would suggest beginning with that when it comes to replacing your violin strings. They are a bit more expensive, but well worth it.

These are the strings I have on my primary violin right now. I'm on my third set over the past year and a half or so, and when the current set wears out, I'll put on new Evah Pirazzi's Gold. Why? Because these are the best sounding strings I have ever used. They cost a lot, but to me they're worth it. I have used a variety of other strings, and like many fiddlers I used Thomastik/Dominants for years; but once I heard these Evah Pirazzi strings on my instrument, I was sold.
I describe their sound as very clean and sweet, with plenty of volume. They are extremely responsive when I am playing light, and when I dig in up near the frog they just roar, with absolutely no cut out or fade in volume.
